Review of DotMod DotBox200 (pre) – it is as stunningly beautiful as it was!
Today we are going to talk about a boxmod from DotMod, a company that conquered the market with its Petri drip, which in 2015, if I’m not mistaken, won the title of the most beautiful drip of the year. But back to the boxmod, DotMod has always put the design first, so you don’t have to worry about it, it’s just peerless. The boxmod is equipped with DNA200 board and 900 mah Li-po. The prefix (pre) means that this is a pre-release version, to test the ground, but I have no doubt that it will become insanely popular due to its design.

It is this engraving that gives the box mod its premium look. The exact same engraving is present on the Fire button, but the + and – buttons don’t stand out at all and look completely ordinary. In short, I would sell a kidney for this boxmod.
To achieve 200 watts of power you need either 3 18650 or LiPo batteries, and for the DNA200 board a lipo is quite commonplace. So we have a built-in LiPo battery for 900 mah, which is quite a standard solution for this board and will give out an honest 200 W, and its autonomy is not bad.
Since the battery is built-in, charging via usb is present, as well as firmware update. The usb connector is located on the front of the case under the + and – buttons. 510 connector is steel and gold plated, most likely 24k gold.
The design of the box in which the device is delivered also deserves attention. It looks very nice, inside there is a boxmod, certificate of authenticity, several stickers and usb cable, which by the way also looks cool.
Naturally, since this is a pre-release version, it’s too early to draw conclusions, and most likely the release will fix the flaws that are currently present (if any). The device is available in one color black, but it will most likely be available in all the colors in which the drip is available. DotMod products make only a positive impression on me though. The only thing I would like is a slightly larger battery capacity, especially since there is room for it.
